Popular Questions
What protocols does SingLink use? What's the difference between its protocol nodes?
Beta
- One of SingLink's in-house VPN protocols, built for high-speed connections.
- The higher your membership tier, the higher your speed cap, up to 1G.
- Suitable for everyday browsing, HD video, and light data transfers.
Sola
- A new-generation, high-performance VPN protocol, available to Plus members and above.
- Overall performance exceeds Beta.
- Further optimized for speed, latency, packet loss, and bandwidth utilization.
2.0
- Built for high stability and for adapting to challenging networks.
- Available to Pro, Max, and Rich members.
- Connection stability of up to 99%.
- Better suited to situations that require a continuously stable connection.
Mini
- Nodes with Mini at the end of the name are Mini protocol nodes, for example Sola Mini and 2.0 Mini.
- Available to Plus members and above.
- They add a layer of our in-house Mini obfuscation technology on top of the original protocol.
- The advantage of this protocol is instant video playback, high-speed streaming, and ultra-low latency.
Other protocols
- We add new protocols from time to time to meet user needs in different scenarios.
- You can find and use new protocol nodes from the node labels.
How do I use it for free?
SingLink offers a free plan that you can use right after signing up—no ads to watch and no credit card required.
What the free plan includes
- Each device gets at least 200MB to 1GB of free data per day.
- Mobile devices get 200MB of free data per day.
- Desktop devices get 500MB of free data per day.
- During special events or promotional periods, free data may be increased to 1GB.
- Free data resets automatically at midnight each day.
- Free data is counted separately for each device.
For example, once a phone has used up its free data for the day, logging in with the same account on a computer still gives you that computer's own separate free data.
If you don't have a paid plan, after logging in to the SingLink app the node list will show nodes labeled "Free."
How to get started
- Download the SingLink client for your platform.
- Sign in with your SingLink account; if you haven't registered yet, create an account first.
- In the node list, select a node labeled "Free."
- Tap Connect to start using it.
- Base free data resets automatically each day; claim event bonus data when prompted by the client.
The exact amount of free data is whatever is shown in real time in the client and on the "Free Plan" page.
Desktop release event: how do I claim the extra 500MB?
During the event, the desktop app includes 500MB of free data by default. In the SingLink app, go to:
Settings → Affiliate Marketing → Free Data
Claim the extra 500MB to receive up to 1GB for that day. Base free data resets automatically; whether an event bonus must be claimed manually is shown in the client.
About the free nodes
The free nodes are mainly there for emergencies, light use and trying the service out.
The free plan supports Beta protocol nodes only. Free resources are limited, so free nodes can fluctuate a fair amount.
If you need something more stable, please subscribe to a paid plan — our high-performance resources go to paying users first.
If you cannot connect, try the following steps:
- Switch to another node.
- Switch between Fast mode and Secure mode to see which one suits your environment.
- If that does not help, disconnect first, refresh the node list, wait a moment, then reconnect using one of the first few high-quality nodes.
- On Windows, some computers need network adapter mode turned on before the app will work.
- If nothing changes, turn the VPN off, open speedtest.net and check whether your own connection is normal.
- If the local test looks abnormal — the page will not open, the speed is very low, or you are on a campus network — switch to another stable Wi-Fi network or a phone hotspot. The VPN can only be as fast as your local connection.
If none of the above helps, make sure your app is on the latest version; if it is not, download it again from the official website.
If it still does not work, please send a detailed video and screenshots so our team can look into it.
How do I refer friends and earn commissions?
In the SingLink app or on the user website, go to:
Affiliate Program
Tap "Copy Invite Link," then send your personal invite link to friends.
After a friend signs up through your invite link and buys a plan that qualifies under the affiliate rules, you earn a 50% commission on that order.
This is a recurring commission. As long as your friend keeps renewing a qualifying plan on their account, you continue to earn a 50% commission on each renewal.
For example:
- Friend's first plan purchase: you earn 50% of that order.
- Friend's automatic renewal the next month: you still earn 50% of that renewal order.
- Friend's ongoing renewals: you keep earning 50% on every qualifying renewal order.
The referral link is usually tied to your friend's account, so you don't need to resend the invite link at each renewal.
You can view your commission history, available balance, settlement methods, and withdrawal conditions on the Affiliate Program page. The rules shown in real time on the Affiliate Program page are what ultimately apply.
What should I do if a node has no connection, won't connect, or isn't working?
Most common issues can be resolved with these steps:
- Switch nodes. If you are on Plus or above, also try a node on a different protocol.
- You can also switch between Fast Mode and Secure Mode to see which suits your environment.
- If that doesn't help, disconnect first, then refresh the node list, wait a moment, and reconnect using one of the top few high-quality nodes.
- On Windows, some computers need network adapter mode turned on before the app will work.
- If nothing works, turn off the VPN, open speedtest.net, and check whether your network is normal.
- If the test shows your local network isn't normal — for example it won't open, the speed is too low, or you are on a campus network — switch to another stable Wi-Fi network or a phone hotspot and it should recover. The VPN can only be as fast as your local connection.
How do the protocol nodes differ?
- Beta: built for peak hours; loading may take a little longer.
- Beta Max: the fully specced version of Beta.
- Sola: the fastest, most stable, and most balanced.
- Mini (for example Sola Mini, 2.0 Mini): supports high-speed video streaming.
- 2.0: dedicated nodes that stay connected all day without dropping.
If none of the above helps, make sure your app is on the latest version; if it isn't, download it again from the official website. The current versions are 2.5.2 for TV, 2.6 for Linux, and 2.6.1 for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.
If it still doesn't work, please provide a detailed video and screenshots and wait for a member of our team to investigate.

How do I use the chained proxy?
The chained proxy is available on Plus plans and above.
You buy a Socks5 proxy IP from a third-party platform and import it into SingLink; SingLink provides the import entry and the outbound exit.
- Useful when you manage several accounts on third-party platforms.
- Helps reduce bot checks and account risk-control problems.
The quality of that custom IP depends entirely on what you bought from the third-party provider. SingLink only provides the import mechanism and the exit; it does not supply the IP and cannot guarantee its quality.
How does the domain proxy work?
The domain proxy lets you set which domains are forced through SingLink and which ones skip it and use the local network directly.
The available options differ by platform and client version, so please rely on what your own client actually shows.
Proxy bypass
Go to:
Settings → Proxy Bypass
Proxy bypass lets specified apps, domains or IP addresses skip SingLink and use the local network instead. Typical uses:
- Domestic apps that need the local network.
- Banking and payment apps that trip risk controls when proxied.
- Local-life apps that need your real region.
- Latency-sensitive games.
- Company or home intranet services.
Proxy bypass only takes effect in Fast Mode. Secure Mode is a global proxy, so all traffic goes through SingLink and bypass does not apply.
How do I use the per-app proxy on Android?
The per-app proxy is available in the Android client only.
Tap the per-app feature to open it, then choose which apps go through the proxy and which do not.
It works much like the domain proxy, but more directly: you pick from the apps installed on your phone.
The options and their names may differ by client version, so please rely on what your client actually shows.
How do I use the mainland proxy?
The mainland proxy lets users outside mainland China reach apps and services from mainland China.
Open the mainland proxy page in the client and turn it on.
The exact name of the option and where it appears follow what your client shows.
Should I turn on IPv6?
SingLink supports IPv6, but turn it on only if you are on a network that properly supports IPv6.
If your environment does not support IPv6, leave it off: enabling it there can slow down your IPv4 traffic.
The name of the option and where it appears follow what your client shows.
What's the difference between Fast Mode and Secure Mode?
Fast Mode
Fast Mode routes your network traffic according to split-tunneling rules.
- International apps or apps that need a proxy go through the SingLink network.
- Local apps and local websites can use your local network directly.
- Supports proxy bypass, split tunneling, and whitelist features.
- Usually faster with lower latency.
- Suitable for everyday browsing, AI tools, social apps, streaming, and using local apps at the same time.
Secure Mode
Secure Mode is a global proxy mode.
- All apps and network traffic on the device go through SingLink.
- Proxy bypass is not supported.
- More complete privacy protection.
- Some local apps, banking apps, payment apps, or games may load slowly or stop working because the node is in a different region.
Which mode should I choose?
- For everyday use, top speed, or using local apps at the same time: we recommend Fast Mode.
- To route all of your device's traffic through the encrypted network: we recommend Secure Mode.
- If certain local apps won't work: switch to Fast Mode and add those apps to proxy bypass.
How do I manage logged-in devices or kick off other devices?
Go to:
Settings → My Devices
There you can see where your account is logged in across all devices, including:
- Device name.
- Device platform.
- Last online time.
- Whether it's currently online.
To log out a device, tap "Kick Offline" to the right of that device, then confirm.
A device that has been kicked offline will:
- Disconnect from SingLink immediately.
- Be signed out of the account automatically.
- Return to the login screen.
The device you're currently using won't show a "Kick Offline" button.
Each plan has a limit on the number of devices online at once, and some plans may also limit how many times you can kick devices offline per month.
How do I turn on ad blocking?
Go to:
Settings → Ad Blocking
Turn on the ad blocking switch.
Once enabled, SingLink filters common ad and tracking domains while connected, which:
- Reduces some web ads.
- Lowers the risk of online tracking.
- Speeds up loading for some web pages.
- Improves your browsing experience.
When you toggle ad blocking, the client may reload its network configuration once.
How do I set up launch on startup?
Desktop users can go to:
Settings → Launch on Startup
Turn on the launch-on-startup switch.
Once enabled, the SingLink client will start automatically every time your computer boots up.
What is the SingLinkHub app marketplace?
SingLinkHub is a collection of useful software for users worldwide.
With SingLinkHub, you can:
- Discover other apps and tools in the SingLink ecosystem.
- Find useful software for different operating systems.
- Learn about each app's features, supported platforms, and how to download it.
- Get software and services for productivity, networking, AI, privacy and security, and more.
Go to:
Settings → App Marketplace
to open SingLinkHub.
Security
How secure is SingLink?
Secure. SingLink VPN is only released for use once the security of the software is confirmed to be 100%.
SingLink VPN follows strict security principles:
- Registering for SingLink VPN needs no email verification — nobody knows who you are.
- The SingLink protocol has deep encryption built in, so nobody can obtain the data you transmit.
- Your usage logs stay only on your own device, and are destroyed the moment you disconnect.
- No logs are kept at all; only a virtual mailbox is used to handle order enquiries.
- SingLink VPN carries out internal and third-party security audits and no-log audits every year.
- SingLink VPN runs an open-source programme, so anyone can inspect how its security works.
In addition, SingLink VPN does not permit AI to analyse its data, reverse-engineer it or crack it. SingLink VPN's built-in security system opposes any AI performing data analysis, reverse engineering or cracking; once detected, the account is permanently banned, no refund is possible, and we reserve the right to pursue legal liability.
Does SingLink keep logs of my activity?
SingLink enforces a strict no-logs policy and does not record the websites you visit, the apps you use, what you browse, or your specific network activity.
Usage traces are kept mainly on your local device, and related transmission traces are destroyed automatically once you disconnect.
Email and subscription data
- SingLink only uses the necessary account information to handle accounts, subscriptions, refunds, and after-sales support.
- After you've stopped using the service for a certain period, the system clears subscription data that's no longer needed, in line with our data policy.
- SingLink does not link your browsing history to your account information.
Server security
SingLink uses regular cleanup, access restrictions, and security safeguards to reduce the risk of user data being retained long-term or accessed without authorization.
Is SingLink's traffic encryption secure?
SingLink uses encryption and obfuscation to protect the data you transmit, making it harder for third parties to directly read, identify, or analyze your network traffic.
Its main benefits include:
- Encrypting the content you transmit.
- Hiding obvious proxy-traffic signatures.
- Reducing the chance of detection by deep packet inspection.
- Improving connectivity in challenging network environments.
- Guarding against common eavesdropping risks on public Wi-Fi.
You should still avoid visiting untrusted websites, downloading unknown files, or sharing your account password with third parties.
Does SingLink protect against malware and ads?
SingLink provides network security and ad-filtering features.
These mainly include:
Protection from malicious sites and software
Detects and blocks some malicious programs, scam websites, dangerous domains, and suspicious content.
Malicious ad filtering
Filters out some ad domains that contain scams, viruses, tracking code, or malicious redirects.
Safe browsing
Reduces the risk of visiting known dangerous websites or malicious network services.
This protection is not a substitute for dedicated antivirus software and cannot guarantee blocking every threat on the internet.
Network Issues
The speed is very slow—how can I fix it?
SingLink's actual speed depends on factors such as your local network, your carrier's international gateway, the distance to the node, node load, and your membership tier.
If the speed is slow, try the following in order:
- Test your local network speed.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Try a different network carrier.
- Choose a node closer to your location.
- Switch to a node in another country, region, or line.
- Avoid nodes that currently have many users.
- Tap "Update Nodes" and reconnect.
- Restart the client and try again.
In some regions, network carriers strictly inspect cross-border or proxy traffic, so your data may have to travel through more network hops before reaching your device, which can make latency feel higher or speeds feel slower.
If you're still not satisfied with your current speed, you can upgrade to a higher-tier plan for faster speeds and higher-priority bandwidth.
Account Issues
Why was my account banned?
SingLink integrates with third-party security systems and enforces risk controls on accounts and devices that violate the Terms of Service.
Behaviors that may trigger a ban include, but are not limited to:
- Network attacks.
- Malicious scanning.
- Abusing network resources.
- Mass automated sign-ups.
- Using the service in violation of the rules.
- Affecting other users or servers.
- Other actions that violate the SingLink Terms of Service.
When serious risk controls are triggered:
- The account may be permanently banned.
- The associated devices may be permanently banned.
- The associated network information may be added to the security system's blocklist.
- Serious violations usually cannot be reversed.
If you believe your account was flagged by mistake, please contact SingLink and provide your account, device, client version, and an explanation of the situation.
What should I do if I forgot my password?
If you still have a device logged in
If a device is still signed in to your SingLink account, on that device go to:
Settings → Change Password
Then set a new password directly.
If all devices are signed out
On the login page, tap "Forgot Password," receive a verification code at your registered email, and reset your password.
If the verification code doesn't arrive at your registered email, check:
- Your spam folder.
- Whether the email address is entered correctly.
- Whether your email provider is blocking the verification email.
If you still don't receive the code, you can reach SingLink through live chat or the community.
Please set and safely store your password promptly to avoid being locked out of your account.

Which payment methods are supported?
You can buy plans in both the SingLink app and on the user website.
Currently supported payment methods include:
- Alipay.
- WeChat Pay.
- USDT.
- Credit card.
- PayPal.
- Google Pay.
- Apple Pay.
- Link.
Which methods are available may vary by device, region, and payment page; please rely on what's shown in real time on the payment page.
After I change plans, will my credit card subscription be charged twice?
Normally, no.
At any given time, an account keeps only one active billing credit card subscription.
When you successfully pay for a new plan order—including upgrading your plan or switching to another payment method such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, USDT, or PayPal—the system automatically cancels your existing credit card subscription, so you won't be charged for two subscriptions at once.
A credit card subscription is an auto-renewing subscription, so there's no need to buy it again manually.
To check your current credit card subscription status, view billing, or cancel auto-renewal, click "Manage Subscription" in the top-right corner of the "Current Subscription" card in your user dashboard.
After changing plans, we recommend going to "Manage Subscription" to confirm the old subscription has been canceled. If you find two active subscriptions, please contact live chat immediately.
How do I cancel credit card auto-renewal?
Open your SingLink user dashboard and click "Manage Subscription" in the top-right corner of the "Current Subscription" card.
This takes you to Stripe's official billing center, where you can:
- Cancel auto-renewal.
- Change your card.
- View past bills.
- View invoices.
- Manage your payment information.
After you cancel auto-renewal, the subscription period you've already paid for remains usable until it expires.
Once the plan expires, the system will not charge you again.
"Manage Subscription" is only shown to users with an auto-renewing credit card subscription.
Can I get a refund?
SingLink offers refunds, but refund requests must comply with our refund policy.
How to request a refund
Please submit your request through live chat and provide:
- Your SingLink account.
- The order number.
- The payment method.
- The purchase date.
- The reason for the refund.
- A screenshot of the issue.
SingLink will verify the order, your account usage, and the refund conditions before processing it.
For detailed refund conditions, please see the SingLink Terms of Service.
Tutorials
Will my third-party accounts be banned after I switch nodes?
The third-party accounts referred to here include:
- X / Twitter.
- ChatGPT.
- Instagram.
- TikTok.
- Accounts on other third-party platforms.
When you use a personal account normally, you generally won't be banned simply for switching nodes normally.
Note for users with multiple accounts
If you need to manage multiple accounts, we recommend:
- Sticking with the same node.
- Assigning a fixed region to each account.
- Using dedicated or enterprise-grade nodes.
- Avoiding frequent IP address changes in a short time.
- Avoiding logging in across multiple countries in a short time.
Third-party accounts may also be restricted for reasons such as:
- Account quality issues.
- Unusual logins.
- Automated activity.
- Posting content that violates the rules.
- Breaking the third-party platform's rules.
- Logging in to too many accounts on the same device or IP.
Bans on third-party platforms are decided by those platforms themselves and are unrelated to SingLink.
Managing multiple accounts
If you use several accounts, you can manage them with the chained proxy feature (available on Plus and above). Import a Socks5 proxy IP you bought from a third-party provider, and it effectively reduces bot checks and account risk controls.
Important notes for heavy-download users
If you need to do large-volume downloads, please buy the Pro plan.
The Fast and Plus plans may restrict extremely large downloads, such as:
- Downloading hundreds of GB per day.
- Downloading thousands of GB per day.
- Doing extremely large downloads for many days in a row.
- Occupying large amounts of shared bandwidth for long periods.
These limits exist to protect other users' network stability and normal experience.
The Pro plan uses enterprise-grade or dedicated configurations, making it suitable for large-volume downloads and high-bandwidth use.
If your account is restricted for abusing shared network resources, please contact live chat or upgrade to a suitable plan.

Device rules for the free plan
The free plan has no device limit, and each device gets its own daily free data:
- Mobile devices get 200MB of free data per day.
- Desktop devices get 500MB of free data per day.
- During special events or promotional periods, free data may be increased to 1GB.
- Free data is counted separately for each device and isn't shared between them.
For example, once a phone has used up its free data for the day, the same user can still use the computer's own separate free data on that computer.
The free plan uses a "per-device data" model, which is different from the shared-account model of paid plans.
Paid plans allow multiple devices to log in to the same account and, up to the device count set by each plan, share that account's subscription benefits and plan data.
If a paid account reaches its limit of simultaneously online devices, you can go to Settings → My Devices and kick devices you no longer use offline to free up a login slot for a new device.
Different plans may limit how many times you can kick devices offline per month; please rely on what the client shows in real time.

About SingLink
About SingLink
SingLinkVPN is an encrypted network connection and network privacy service provided to users worldwide.
SingLinkVPN was created by its founder David Johnson together with technical partners from the global developer community. Today a company registered in BVI is responsible for the product, the service, and global operations as a whole.
Unlike traditional internet companies, SingLinkVPN has not built a large hierarchical management structure, and it does not rely on a single office or a fixed regional team to carry out day-to-day operations.
SingLinkVPN follows a decentralized collaboration model based on participation from the global community. Community volunteers, developers, testers, and contributors from different countries and regions take part together in community upkeep, product feedback, software testing, content translation, technical suggestions, and community support.
The core official work of SingLinkVPN is concentrated on product compliance, security, rule-making, software updates, handling major issues, and building transparent systems.
The goal of this model is to reduce the control that any single individual or traditional management layer has over the product, and to establish a more transparent and controllable service system through published rules, restricted permissions, community oversight, and users' own free choice.
The SingLink story
- 2009: singlink.com registered its first domain.
- 2013: Headquarters established in the British Virgin Islands.
- 2015: The SingLink v1.0 protocol launched and the enterprise edition went into service.
- 2023: The consumer edition of SingLink v1.0 launched.
